APOCALAPS 6 - "Short Track Showdown" - 4 event Series

ApocaLaps is proud to announce that a venue has been found to play host to not only the next ApocaLaps Event……, but a series of 4 scheduled events for the remainder of 2017.

ApocaLaps will be running the event series at the Tiger Kart Club Facility in Wanneroo, 610 Wattle Ave , East Neerabup (next to Barbagallo Raceway).

Working together with the Tiger Kart Club has given ApocaLaps an opportunity to have a regular event in a safe environment where we can practice our enthusiasm for ProTouring cars.

The Tiger Kart Club is a close knit community that was formed in 1958 by a small group of motorcyclists who utilized any venue they could get.

This community spirit is what ApocaLaps intends to grow and support in the Pro-Touring culture here in Australia.

As owners of ProTouring cars we understand the time, money and effort that goes into getting an old car around a corner quickly and the help needed when it all goes to custard too.

No, the racing is not on Go Kart Track The Tiger Kart Club has a bitumen surfaced car park at the back of the facility, equivalent in size to previous event skid pans/ car parks.

Each event will consist of 2 short course Autocross tracks, a dedicated non timed session for passenger participation and a Speed / Stop Challenge.

Racing will be an ALL-DAY EVENT with numbers limited to 30 cars for the first event to gauge the space and workings of the event.​

Racing will be in 3 heats with 1 heat racing, 1 heat enjoying the show and the remaining heat assisting with the event by marshalling, timing etc.

ApocaLaps Event Series = Points.... that's right , each car will accumulate points in their respective class throughout the series.

Pricing for each ALL-DAY Event will be:

Car and Driver = $99
-
Second driver free / passenger rides free

(Please note: Only 1 x second driver can be nominated, and will need to share the car's allocated time schedule - no limit to passenger requests)

There will be dedicated passenger sessions to separate the racing sessions (note: passengers must be requested by a driver, and have signed correct forms)

If all race entry allocations have not been met prior to race day, ApocaLaps may accept on the day entries - provided all race requirements and documentation can be met & completed

AASA license will be required for anyone driving the car and must be obtained and supplied to ApocaLaps two days prior to the event, this license can be obtained online

(Equivalent race/event licenses approved by AASA will also be accepted)
